Chi Rho Camp

Age: 6th and 7th grades    Price: $390

July 16th - 20th

Us and Others

Tools for emotion - Each one leaves with new abilities to "live" with each other.

Self-identity, the crucial question of "Who am I?" is the primary concern of children this age. They are able to think abstractly and, in terms of faith development, they are moving into the time of searching. Community, however, in terms of social importance and in terms of affiliated faith, remains very significant.

Christian Chamberlain, Co-Director

“Hi, I’m Christian! I’ve been counseling Chi Rho for a couple years and I can’t wait to be one of the directors this summer! I’m part of Peace Christian Church UCC in Kansas City and I’m currently pursuing a degree in Music Education from William Jewell College. I can’t wait for the campers to experience the world around them that God has created and to make lifelong friends throughout the week.”

Chi Rho  is a camp led by Directors and Counselors.  This is a 4 day long camp to detach from the world and spend time in community, nature and one another.

Chi Rho includes a team building low ropes activity, small groups, pool-time, worship led by youth, archery and group games.

This camp encourages the youth to lead the camp as well as worship. Adults and counselors are there to lead activities and empowering conversations to help build faith and community.

Colton Pasquale, Co-Director

Hi, I am Colton Pasquale and I am so excited to be co-directing Chi Rho this year! I have been attending camps since 2005 and have been counseling various camps since 2015. I have been going to Peace Christian church for a few years and before that I attended Shawnee Christian Church when I was younger. I am currently a graduate student at Emporia State University working on my masters in School Psychology! While doing so I am a full time para educator at Starside Elementary. I am so excited to be co-directing this year and cannot wait for camp to start next summer!
